Last October, Frinsa participated in the 34th edition of the Salón de Gourmets 2021, the most important food and beverage fair in Europe and one of the events of the year for professionals in the sector. The canning company, as in previous years, had an eye-catching design stand where its customers could see and taste its range of gourmet canned seafood products.

On October 19th, Frinsa held the eagerly awaited final of the recipe contest for culinary students “Talentos en Conserva 2020”, which had to be cancelled due to last year’s pandemic situation. The finalists of this edition were:

1. Mireia Cuadrado García from the culinary arts school I. E. S. Gregorio Prieto, with a recipe of Turkey in almond sauce.

2. Andrés Sánchez Molero from I. E. S. Gregorio Prieto, with a recipe of Chicken Tzatziki

3. Alicia Calzón from IES Diego de Praves with a Melon Ravioli stuffed with salmon in cava sauce.

The event was presided over by a jury formed by relevant personalities in the gastronomic world such as: Pepe Solla, Michelin-starred chef and owner of Casa Solla restaurant, Alejandra Ansón, gastronomy expert and co-founder of the gastronomic cabinet Ansón Y Bonet, and David Ramos CEO of Klimer, a leading company in the distribution of culinary kitchenware and catering material.

Participants had a total of 45 minutes to carry out the necessary preparations in the kitchen, plate 4 presentations and respond to the jury’s comments and questions. After an intense and hard-fought deliberation, the winning recipe was the Chicken Tzatziki, prepared by Andrés Sánchez Molero, whose flavor and mixture of textures won over the jury.

In addition to the participants and the jury, the event was attended by the Frinsa team as well as many other onlookers who approached the stand and were able to enjoy a tasting of Frinsa’s products once the event was over, always respecting the COVID regulations issued by the fair’s organization. Remote spectators were also able to witness the event, which was broadcast live on the company’s social networks.

With all this Frinsa, together with three other intense days of the fair, closes its participation in the Salón de Gourmets as a real success full of experiences, new contacts and projects to continue improving and always preserving the best of the sea.
